About
The SVCA youth group exists to build young people into devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, united as one family who serves Him, letting worship overflow into their lives to influence our generation to Him.
Our youth group is only part of a bigger family in our church, who seeks to be a witness and testimony to Christ as the center of everything. We mostly consist of second generation kids of the first-generation Chinese immigrants that compose most of the congregation, but we seek to build all young people in our community into Christ-followers to influence even more beyond this area – our young generation today.
Titus is our junior high ministry for students in grades 6-8. Timothy is our high school ministry for students in grades 9-12. We have a team of parents and counselors who support our ministry. We also interact often with our older brothers and sisters in Thomas, our college and young adult ministry.
Meeting times
We welcome you to join our weekly meetings in the El Shaddai room!
Fridays, 8 pm– Small groups: The youth group starts off together with worship, has a time for fun and games, and breaks off into smaller groups where we dig deeper into God’s Word, share our lives over snacks, and pray for one another. Once a month, we have a Christian Life Forum on various topics related to practical application of our Christian walks, especially relevant to youth.
Sundays, 9:30 am – Sunday service: The youth group alternates weekly between having a separate English meeting in the El Shaddai room and joining the rest of the congregation in the Sanctuary for intergenerational worship. Afterwards, we offer various Sunday School classes and eat lunch together.
